He is currently chairman of the world-wide company. According to Forbes, his net worth is $16.7 billion as of 2007.
Walton graduated from Columbia Law School in 1969 and became a member of the law firm that represented Wal-Mart until his father's death. Rob Walton was named chairman of the Board of Directors of Wal-Mart on April 7, 1992, two days after his father's death, and still maintains that title. The name Robson comes from his mother's side of the family, the Robsons.
He is the child of Sam Walton (d. 1992), who began retail career 1940 making $75 a month as a clerk for J.C. Penney. Opened Ben Franklin 5-and-dime store in Newport, Ark. 5 years later; lost lease 1950. With brother James L., opened new chain of general stores in Bentonville, Ark. 1962. Took Wal-Mart public 1970, now world's largest retailer, with 6,500 stores in 15 countries; 1.8 million employees serve 176 million customers a week. Sales: $315 billion. Company claims to save average American household $2,300 a year. But stock down 10% since beginning of 2005; Wall Street unimpressed by earnings. Family controls 40% of Wal-Mart. Dear Mr. Kenny Chesney,
You do not know me, but my name is Trey Noran. I have enclosed a letter that has been forwarded to other various people of your caring and stature. This letter explains the funds that are necessary to take care of the homeless epidemic that is currently occurring in this country at an astonishing rate.
It is my vision to create a fundraiser called “The Stars Give Back to the People” which will be comprised of entertainers from all around the World to help raise money, not just for one Love Center in Denver, but also for many around the country. These centers will help feed, cloth, house and nurture individuals while giving back the self-esteem to the unacceptable homeless population in America today.
Please consider the enclosed documents as an extension of your caring and compassion, as I have found that God has placed this heavily on my heart to carry out for the betterment of Humanity. Dear, Mrs. Angelil:
We the people must change our way of thinking. I see that the US is looking towards President Obama for the solution, stop now we the United States were founded In GOD WE TRUST, (the almighty God.) Now that we are losing and taking God out it is getting worse. People are seeking President Obama for the answer when the true answer lies in Jesus Christ; his plan is the only plan that will not fail. Let us re-prioritize our country, we fight for children, welfare, and education but then we leave the single person left in the dark as, well as the homeless.
We must understand that hiding the problem and not addressing the problem will create even more problems. Education has always been a problem and shall always be a thorn, so let us work on other avenues. Through my struggles and hard breaks, every door shut close. Time, after time the same closed door stated well you do not have kids or you are not over 60 so we have no grants, welfare, or assistant to help you. However, on the next corner there is a free meal if you stand in line, but from there you are on your own.
Ok President Obama, and Congress, keep putting Billions on effortless ventures, such as only helping those who are losing or going to lose soon, but those who have already lost and have nothing else to lose even if leads to hurting or murdering someone. They can and will be at your back door soon. Not out of want but out of lack, anger, drugs, or insanity.
I know the difference from a handout to have nothing else to lose. I hear that Warren Buffett lost twenty-five billions to investments, well Mr. Buffett investment in God almighty shall return to you a hundred fold. Imagine if only those billions had been invested on the homeless problems, and those who have lost everything and are living on the streets right now today. Tent City no more, street corners no more, long food lines no more! It is time to get back to God’s plan and what our country was founded upon which was” In God We Trust”. Jesus is the strength no matter how you go around it. It will play out how God has planned it from the beginning. God giving is the best giving. Our problem lives here in the United States and now is the time to address it not tomorrow. I ask that you seek Gods will to help fulfill a vision he has instilled in me; from our President of the United States, too Mr. William Gates, Mr. Warren Buffett, Mr. Jim Walton and who ever else God would truly lead to help fulfill this long awaited need and dream; His Love Street Ministries.
This venture exceeds shall; over $188,000,000,000 dollars, which is just a fraction of the billions and trillions that will be used ineffectively by the current stimulus plan and other programs.
What is His Love Center? His Love Center is a street ministry located near downtown Denver on fifty acres of land and has staffs that are anointed to share the Love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
His Love Center is designed with God’s best in mind, run by Reverend by Trey Louis Noran following a vision God gave him over twenty-three years ago. We have a true desire to help those whom are homeless and full of despair – to help clean and educate them, to help them find meaningful employment, and show them the true Love God gives.
Pastor Trey Noran’s original vision was to do more than simply feed the homeless and pray for them. In 2010, this dream that God had instilled in his heart many years ago will be brought to life with the generosity of supporters that also have a true desire to help God’s people who have been on the street with no home, food, or desire anymore. Just because people are homeless, why must they have second- or third-best?
His Love Center will be funded by the Gods Grace and those whom truly believe20we mu st make a change and share this vision that Trey Noran and seen, felt and worked on for several years. His Love Center can host over 1000 people per year with a clean new room for up to ninety days. Those who are housed are the homeless and who have lost and see no hope and have a true desire to get their lives back on track, willing to respect both themselves and others. They will be taught to lead productive lives in a positive environment and to make a positive contribution to society. Each individual must be willing to work hard and have a true desire for a change in his or her life. Guests cannot smoke or drink, and must attend classroom training, which include a work program designed by the Center, and Chapel.
Their first day, they will attend counseling and receive new clean clothes and be installed in a clean room. During the ninety-day stay, they are given food, understanding, structure, work, boarding, and peace of mind with employment and training. Each guest is expected to want and show determination and be willing to obey the rules. His Love Center includes a clinic, a dentist, and counselors to h elp with adjustments.
We actually employ our guests in several areas, such as our Hotel Tower, clinics, bookstore, clothing store, and our 300-seat state of the art Million Dollar Restaurant that all proceeds will go towards helping even more guest as possibly and hopefully other Centers, to open through-out the United States.
For the first 45 days, the guests work for room and board only to manifest a true desire to help them-self. The remaining 45 days they are paid wages that go directly into a private bank account that can be accessed on graduation day to assist them in getting their own apartment established.
